As global demand for whisky surged some producers were forced to pursue scale and efficiency, losing sight of their true character, which originally rose them to fame.

At Port Askaig, we have dedicated ourselves to preserving and celebrating a more balanced style, true to the classic Islay whiskies we love. We carefully nurture select new-make and young Islay whiskies through our meticulous cask program before expertly blending in small batches. Providing a level of unrivalled attention-to-detail which ensures we showcase our signature flavour profile throughout our range.
We are named after the historic, picturesque village closest to the distillery where our core range spirit is born. Port Askaig stands as the definitive expression of classic Islay.
