Independent bottlings from the purveyor to the royal court
Berry Bros. & Rudd whisky is also enjoyed by King Charles: Britain's oldest wine and spirits merchant supplies the British Royal Family with over 300 years of expertise. Today, Berry Bros. & Rudd has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo. However, the family business is headquartered at No. 3 St. James's Street, as it has been since 1698, a location steeped in history – from supplying smugglers with spirits during Prohibition and hiding Napoleon III in the cellar to weighing the poet Lord Byron on the large coffee scales.

The London institution originated in the trade of coffee, tea, snuff, and spices. Over time, the focus shifted to something stronger. As wine became increasingly important to the business, spirits also gained in significance. Berry Bros. & Rudd began bottling casks under its own label in the early 19th century, thus becoming Britain's oldest independent spirits bottler.
