Representative of old Martinique vintage rums

J. Bally was one of the first distilleries in Martinique to produce barrel-aged Agricole Rhum from pure sugarcane juice. Inspired by traditional, time-tested production methods from the Cognac region, the company's founder, Jacques Bally, had the idea of aging his rum in oak barrels as early as 1917.

This slow maturation in French oak, characteristic of J.Bally rum, imparts fine, incomparable aromas that only time can bring about. Jacques Bally also designed the signature J.Bally bottle – initially triangular, then square – which made his rum famous worldwide.

J. Bally rums are distinguished by their fruitiness, which they owe to the harvest of ripe sugarcane, and by their smoothness, which they gain through partial aging in old Cognac casks. The current cellar master, Marc Sassier, is the guardian of this unique know-how: "With this exceptional heritage, we strive every day to uphold the philosophy of Jacques Bally."
