Organic Whisky Distillery: Made by Nature Not by Rules

Uninhibited by tradition, Nc’nean set out to change how the world thinks about Scotch and to make delicious whisky in harmony with the planet. We began distilling in 2017 and launched our first whisky in 2020: an elegant, fruity organic single malt that makes a big impression with a small footprint. 

Pioneering sustainable production, we’re a certified B-Corp using 100% organic Scottish barley and bottling in 100% post-consumer recycled glass. We are a zero-waste distillery powered completely by renewable energy, and in 2021 became the first Scotch distillery to be verified as net zero carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2.

Experimental by nature, curiosity drives us. Our Botanical Spirit, malted barley triple-distilled with local botanicals, first set the tone. Our experimental Huntress and Quiet Rebels series as well as our Aon single-cask releases are where we continue to explore novel yeasts, unique cask finishes, and pioneer techniques to produce exciting flavours in our spirits.
