In 2008, childhood friends Jay Carpenter and Dave Cuttino founded Reservoir Distillery in Richmond, Virginia – one of the first whiskey distilleries outside Kentucky since Prohibition. Their goal: to revolutionize the American whiskey market.

 

Today, the distillery is known for its award-winning small-batch whiskeys. The three core products are not only 100% handcrafted, but each consists exclusively of a single grain variety – a unique approach at the time.

 

All raw materials come from fields within an 80 km radius of Richmond, as does the wood for the barrels, which is also sourced from Virginia. The wine is matured in custom-made 20L quarter casks with Alligator Char Level 4, resulting in intense aromas and a rich, natural color. Each bottle is sealed and numbered by hand – a testament to uncompromising craftsmanship and the highest quality.
