Childhood friends John, Ger and Denis started West Cork Distillery in 2003 – in a small room at the back of Denis' house in Union Hall, Co. Cork. With two small stills from Switzerland, a success story began that continues today in their own distillery in Skibbereen.

 

The trio remains at the helm, driving the future of Irish whiskey forward with creativity and energy – supported by a dedicated team of 140 employees.

 

Every day, four truckloads of 18–20 tonnes of barley from the region arrive at the distillery. Through perseverance, commitment and close ties to the local community, the multi-award-winning whiskey is now sold in almost 70 countries worldwide.
